Break the Robot is an American Rock band from Phoenix, AZ.  They feel “reminiscent of No Doubt, mixed with some Fleetwood Mac, and with the rich lyrics and emotion of Lord Huron.” (S.L. Reiser, Arena Music)

Conceptualized by the bandleader and bassist, Todd Middleman, Break the Robot represents change and growth in all things. The title character Drake the Robot, a real steampunk robot in the Break the Robot universe, continually learns, computes, and discovers more about itself and humanity. Then, Drake breaks. He dies. Repeatedly. But, resurrects each time, never to be free.

Its cogs are comprised of members from the popular cover band, The Instant Classics. However, as their alternate ego, Break the Robot is greater than the sum of its parts. It’s an idea - with a kickass soundtrack.

Over the last decade as The Instant Classics (TIC), they have earned the top spot as the “Number One Wedding Band” in the valley, and repeatedly receive five-star ratings along with The Knot’s “Top Pick, Best of Weddings” and WeddingWire’s prestigious “Couples’ Choice” award. They have an extensive cover catalog which boasts over three hundred tunes, and it changes and grows with the times. Their fan-favorite “I’m with the Band” live karaoke events have become a coveted asset to clubs and aspiring stars alike. But with this new persona, Break the Robot isn’t looking for award recognition - they’re planning to break the system.
